EBMUD's wastewater treatment protects San Francisco Bay

For years, EBMUD has worked with industries, businesses and residents to reduce and control the discharge of pollutants to the community sewer through our pretreatment and pollution prevention programs. EBMUD's environmental services include controlling toxic pollutants at the source, pollution prevention, and treating trucked waste. In addition to meeting regulatory goals, these programs effectively protect the wastewater treatment plant, its staff and ultimately the San Francisco Bay.
