Happy Valley Pumping Plant Project
EBMUD is improving the water system to meet future demands in the areas of Orinda and Lafayette served by Happy Valley Reservoir. At this time, there is not adequate water storage capacity to meet peak daily demand.
The new Happy Valley Pumping Plant will be located on Miner Road at Camino Sobrante in Orinda. An associated pipeline is being constructed in two phases, one completed in summer 2009 and the other which is currently being designed.
Workplan and Schedule
The pumping plant will be designed in fiscal year 2013 with construction expected to take place the following year.
