Estates Reservoir Replacement Project
Estates Reservoir in Oakland, California
EBMUD is planning to replace Estates Reservoir, which is located in Oakland on Estates Drive between Bullard Drive and McAndrew Drive. The new reservoir will improve water quality and meet current seismic standards. EBMUD plans to build two small water storage tanks within the footprint of the old Estates Reservoir site and install new landscaping. The existing Montclair Pumping Plant, also located at the site, will be rehabilitated. This work is part of a long-range program to upgrade water distribution facilities in the Central Oakland Hills south of Highway 24 and north of the Oakland/San Leandro border.
Workplan and Schedule
The project construction is expected to start in March, 2012. Construction will take approximately two years.
